Different nations (V1.0.0)
These are called the starter nations, the ones who started things and got the ball rolling. They can be used or ignored, but generally speaking, they're the nations that shaped Mari, the place this takes place on. That again a little backstory to the before times and so these are what were the originally shaped nations of the big contenders as of what was happening within the world.
Soulven - soulven were focused around advancements; those who scored the highest were made into leaders and made to run things. They developed advancements by using slaves as test subjects and did their best research by testing things are creatures alive or dead; ethics are thrown out the window for the sake of advancement because the most cutthroat competitors and smartest ones survived the brutal onslaught of the horde. This nation also did the best research into magic. Now not to say this is the only thing they have going for them; they devised a shaping of democracy, they still believed in their citizens' rights, and law and order were seen as important for those who didn't break the law. They had empathy and compassion for their own people. Still, They often found that outsiders they had less compassion for, especially considering their kingdom was more often than not under threat of morphing creatures.
Garthik - A nation shaped by its warriors, the strongest, and those who can kill the biggest monster and come out on top. They shaped their nation by having young warriors from an early age training, fighting, and even going to war. Those who went through puberty the fastest were seen as men and sent to war the quickest; facial hair, armpit hair, a deepening of the voice were seen as signs that a child was ready to be a man and sent to war, while those who didn't were often seen as not ready, especially those who didn't produce manly traits as early. They had a culture where the men who were warriors had their own tier within society. People are not separated by wealth but by strength and usefulness. The farmers are seen as a higher tier and warriors; those who practice art were seen as below the farmers while the warriors were seen as above the farmers and below the kings. Outsiders were accepted, but only if they could prove that they were strong and worthy enough to join their said people. Even slaves earned their freedom by showing how strong they were in combat.
Only warriors were allowed to have weapons, a nation that didn't respect or care for magic users. They're known for having grand wild holidays as well, especially after a good hunt. The king is chosen by those born in the bloodline, not by who was born first. A king was chosen by those born from the first king; bear in mind the first king had 75 wives. These warriors often had to deal with brute creatures such as berserker, and as such, the berserker power was birthed from this nation.
Mallak - These people were calmer, less carrying, and lived in the sandy regions with a focus on culture and arts. They weren't strong but had a strong affinity for magic-making advancements slower and often have lots of children. They were more defense based with escaping and evading danger, especially escape by the water, and have learned so much from the natural world, a culture where it's a group vote on issues that they had to deal with, farmers got to vote on farmer issues and warriors got to vote on their issues, etc, etc. They had a line of representative democracy. The representative on the given issues would talk things out and come to a vote. The Mallak is welcoming of outsiders and doesn't care for nor want outside inventions; those who do bring said items in are often shunned and left out socially but not culturally, a shame culture. Not all inventions but those of metal and items that were not needed and rather a focus was placed on practicing and honing magic. Often magic users being the military instead of any real soldiers and the soldiers that are there are few and far between.
